Paid appointments

Collect payment per slot — before the meeting, not after.

A time slot is only confirmed once it is paid. The money goes to your Stripe or PayPal account, the client gets a receipt, and empty holds stop sitting on your calendar.

Why payment belongs at booking

When the booking page and the invoice live in different tools, you hold a slot, send a payment link, and then chase it. Some people pay. Some forget. Some never intended to show up. Paid appointment scheduling closes that gap: the client picks a time, pays, and only then does the event land on your calendar.

BookMyTime is built around that order. Connect Stripe or PayPal, put a price on a meeting type or on a single time slot, and checkout runs before the booking is confirmed. Card details are handled by the payment provider. BookMyTime never stores the card number.

The five steps every paid booking follows

The flow is the same whether the session is $40 or $400. There is no separate invoice to send and no second email asking the client to 'complete payment'.

  • The client picks a slot on your booking page, already shown in their time zone.
  • They pay at checkout by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
  • The slot is confirmed and a calendar invite goes out with the video link.
  • A branded receipt, including the tax details you set, is emailed to the client.
  • The payout lands in your Stripe or PayPal balance.

Per-slot pricing, deposits and packages

Not every hour you sell is worth the same amount. Per-slot pricing lets you charge more for evenings, weekends or short-notice bookings, and set different prices for 30, 60 and 90 minute versions of the same session. A Thursday morning strategy call can be $75 while the 18:00 slot is $95, on the same meeting type.

You can also take a deposit to hold the slot instead of the full amount, or sell a bundle of five or ten sessions that clients redeem when they book. Coaches, tutors, therapists and personal trainers use packages so a client commits once and then picks times without paying again each week. Read scheduling for coaches, booking for tutors or scheduling for personal trainers for how those pages are usually set up.

Refunds, currencies and receipts

Set a cancellation policy once. If a client cancels inside the window you allow, the refund follows that policy. Late cancellations can keep a fee. You are not writing awkward emails to explain a rule you already published on the booking page.

Price in USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD and other currencies Stripe or PayPal support. Clients pay in the currency you set. After each paid booking, a receipt goes out with your business name and tax details, which is the piece accountants and lawyers usually ask for first. See consultation booking for that use.

What is included before you upgrade

The Free plan includes Stripe payments on a personal booking page, with one event type of up to 30 minutes. Pro, at $12 a month, adds per-slot pricing and deposits. Every plan keeps a 1% fee on guest payments. Prices are on pricing, and the Free plan is usable today.

Payments work alongside two-way calendar sync, multiple meeting types and email, SMS and WhatsApp reminders. A paid slot that nobody is reminded about is still a no-show risk.

FAQ

Questions about this

Can't find yours? Visit the help center or talk to us.

When does the client get charged?

At checkout, before the booking is confirmed. If payment fails, the slot is not held and returns to your available times.

Can I charge a deposit instead of the full fee?

Yes. Set the meeting type to collect a deposit. The rest of your cancellation and balance policy is the one you publish on the booking page.

Do you store card numbers?

No. Card details are handled by Stripe or PayPal and never touch BookMyTime servers.

Can one page mix free and paid meetings?

Yes. A free intro call and a paid session can sit on the same booking page, each with its own price, length and link.
