Two-way calendar sync

Real-time calendar sync. Zero double bookings.

BookMyTime checks every calendar you connect before it offers a slot, then writes the confirmed booking back with attendees, the video link and notes attached.

What two-way sync actually does

One-way availability is how people get double-booked. A tool reads your calendar once, or only writes events after someone books, and misses the dentist appointment you added from your phone. Two-way sync means BookMyTime both reads busy time and writes confirmed bookings back.

Connect Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or Office 365, and Apple iCloud Calendar. Busy time from each one is merged. Only the gaps are offered on your booking page. When a client confirms — and pays, if the meeting is paid — the event is added to the calendar you chose, with the guest and the video link on it.

Work, personal and family calendars, checked together

Most people do not live in one calendar. The Free plan connects one calendar. Pro checks up to six, so a work calendar, a personal calendar and a family calendar can all block time without you copying events between them. Personal trainers use the same setup when a gym calendar, a personal calendar and travel between clients should all hide those hours.

You still choose which calendar receives new bookings. Conflict checking and the destination calendar are separate settings. That matters if you want a client-facing calendar that stays clean while a private calendar still blocks the hours you are not actually free.

Time zones without a spreadsheet

Your booking page detects the visitor's time zone and shows slots in their local time. Your calendar keeps the meeting in yours. A client in New York and a host in London are looking at the same instant, labelled differently. If you want to check a conversion yourself, use the time zone converter.

This is the difference between '3pm' in an email thread and a slot both people can attend. International coaches, recruiters and sales teams rely on it. See interview scheduling and demo scheduling for sales.

Connecting a calendar takes one approval

Calendar access uses OAuth. You approve the account, and you can revoke it later from Google, Microsoft or Apple as well as from BookMyTime settings. What that access is used for is described on the security page.

The getting started guide walks through connecting a calendar, creating a free and a paid meeting type, and sharing the link. Most people finish that in one sitting.
